So, here I am, blogging again! I think I have an addiction to blog-spaces. I am on: MySpace, Care2Connect(not active), Blogspot, Yahoo 360 (not active), CafeMom, Tickle.com, Flixster (not active). I like MySpace and CafeMom the best, though.

Anyhow, I guess I'm hoping to connect with those of a like mind - I'm a solitary practicioner (though, I really don't "practice" much). I enjoy the beauty of wicca and love it's closeness to nature; the sacred in everything/everyone. It gives me peace and hope. However, I have a scientists' analytical brain and, though I find magic and myth fascinating and wonderous, I have trouble with belief and faith in general (my mind needs proof and quantification!!).

I find the similarities between pagan myth and Christian myth very interesting, though it angers me that some Christians (ok, most) think that only theirs is true. Strange, then, that the pagan myths and holidays were established long before Christ was born. In my mind, the whole story of Mary and Jesus so beautifully captures the essence of the pagan wheel of the year; it's strange to me that more people don't think that the stories are one in the same - personally, I think that they were the Goddess and God, personified; brought to life.

Somehow, the message was corrupted and, through a church led by power-hungery leaders, was "Christianity" born. I have no beef with Christ, just with the church that forced a religion upon people and demonized and murdered those who opposed.

I digress; my theories are no more valid than any other. Only the Goddess knows for sure. Perhaps, when this life is over, the truth will be shown. Only then can anyone know what is real; what is true.
